Usui Shiki Ryoho (the Usui System of Natural Healing, is a Japanese Healing Art. The Japanese word ‘reiki’ can be translated as ‘universal life energy’ and the Usui System is a way of working with reiki for healing of self and others. The word healing is used in the sense of regaining harmony and wholeness. Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Chinese Metaphysics, Ayurveda, Yoga, Reiki, Ancient Tibetan Medicine, Crystal Healing, Western Alchemy. The list never ends. I love learning and practising ancient arts of healing and medicines as I believe they hold great wisdom stemming from mankind ancestral roots. Yet I also hold a modern scientific outlook for all things, including any kinds of ancient knowledge that is brought to me. I love to question, be skeptical, research and test them out. So much so that unless I have seen and felt their effects and benefits, I do not accept or apply them. However they have never failed to have me convinced and won over.
In the society today, we have deviated from and gone so much beyond our simple human basic needs that much illnesses and problems have been created by ourselves, for ourselves. We formulated new technologies and medicines in a scurry to fight against these results of self destructive lifestyles, behaviours and thoughts, only to be mortified that they are but increasing the rate of our annihilation.
Having been endowed with knowledge and skills from multiple ancient healing lineages, I see solutions to help myself and others to heal and live better, to experience the beauty of life and find the true purpose of living. Yet ancient wisdom is dying out with our relentless desire for progression of modernity. We have all got it the wrong way round.
Therefore, “The Modern Traditional Doctor” came about - to hold the skills for ancient traditional healings to continue to be practised and serve mankind as modern technology takes over, to hold the power of speech for ancient theories to be translated into modern scientific language easily understood by all.
“The Modern Traditional Doctor” is where ancient and traditions live on in modernity.
