When elbow is flexed, acupoint is in the depression at the lateral end of the cubital crease, midway between Acupoint Chize LU-5 and the lateral epicondyle of the humerus.

Acupoint Qu Chi was also included by Sun Si Miao, the King of Medicine, among his ‘thirteen ghost points’ for the treatment of mania disorder and epilepsy.
Acupoint Qu Chi is also the ‘mother point’ of the Large Intestine channel, which is the only tonifying application of this acupoint in nourishing the upper limb in this way among its other actions in reducing excess pathogenic factors of various kinds.
