My First Baby!

She is finally born! She is by natural birth, fully original, weighing at 4.5 ounces, with a dimension of 5.5 x 0.14 x 8.5 inches. There was a bit of delay here and there and there are still some delivery administrations yet to settle but the fact that she exists in this world now is simply surreal. And I’m still having post-natal hysteria.

Her creation is nourished by my near to 20 years of practice in medicine and various life experiences. In fact some of you were present when she was being created as I typed along while you were resting in sessions.

5 April 2022 is the Qing Ming Festival or Tomb Sweeping Day when Chinese traditionally visit ancestral tombs to sweep them and offer remembrances of their ancestors to living blood relatives, their kith and kin. Although there are superstitious beliefs among the farming folks that sweeping the ancestral tombs will appease the spirits in the other world to ensure fruitful harvests ahead, I see this day beyond that. It is a day to remind ourselves that we will also one day become part of the lineage of our ancestors. More importantly, what legacy will we leave behind for our future generations to honor and carry forward?

Well, for me, this baby is one of my legacies. At least she doesn’t need to face physical death and her lifespan will be determined by whoever still reads her.

She is now available on Kindle and on Amazon paperback. Autographed paperback versions are available in my clinic and my website for order. Feel free to spread her around with love, just like how you have always been doing for me.
