My Journey of becoming a TCM Physician Chap 28: In Loving Memory of Dr KC Tan

When I was informed this noon that another healing angel has left this world, I could only remember the impactful memories he had on me. And it took me a while to then start processing my emotions about his passing and that I could never see him again and show him my new clinic.

A mentor, a father-like figure, he took care of people around him without judgement and extended his help in any way he could. He put on no airs and there was always this down-to-earth and humble charisma about him. I was honoured to have known him and been cared for in my journey as a young Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor.

He had set a role model for me on how he treated patients and people around him – with unconditional love, care and concern, and I would put in my best to emulate in my practice and life.

It was indeed saddening to have lost such a great teacher and soul. But his noble deeds would always be in my memory.

With Love,

Dr Xiang Jun
