Inner Practice: Where Does Your Luck Live?
On Actions
Folk tales can come with a lot of wisdom. And to answer the above question, we can turn to these tales.
The second you come across a miser, a hoarder, someone small in their actions, you know you aren’t in the presence of the good or the heroic. They can be a high falutin’ Czar or Empress but we sense they are impoverished somewhere essential. They may have the important title but have no authentic sovereignty. In fairy tales – again and again – it is the simpler, humbler third brother or sister who succeeds in their quest by taking the advice of the beggar or giving their last piece of bread away. The older siblings rarely lean down from their horse, and are often swift to betrayal. It is frequently the most Christ-like character within a tale that finally achieves what seemed impossible to the others. They locate the firebird, journey to the edge of the world, complete a night sea voyage only to forgive the person they set out to kill. Transformation often comes with mercy, not with might.
So where does your luck live?
On humility. On generosity.
Some people say Karma always befalls on the good and not the bad. This is a myopic and ignorant view and understanding of how energy works. Because actions always leave energetic imprints in this world. And energy never dies, just transformed.
Karma is fair.
Some people may be born rich and affluent and always lucky no matter what they do, good or bad. Yet we did not see how many good seeds have been planted by their ancestors. But we also did not see what lies ahead for them.
Some people may always be seen going through tough times all the time no matter how good a person they are to everyone. Yet we did not see what bad actions have been done in the past by themselves or their families or what they are doing currently which are bad but they are ignorant about. But we also did not see what lies ahead for them. For example, if someone is always late, taking the time of others which is equivalent to the life of others, he or she may be faced with situations that take his own time away such as being always faced with delays in important matters of life or falling ill easily or mishaps that can lead to shortened lifespans.
So where does your luck live?
On virtuous and wise actions.
On Speech
Words have power and words are full of vibration.
We are all energetic bodies and sound is the next level that creates us after light and rays. If you always speak bad of people in front or behind them, complain or gossip, scold or reprimand, sulk or belittle, you are soaking in such negativity all the time as you speak in these ways. Multiply by minutes, hours, days, months and even years and you have embodied the lowest vibration within and around you. What you are, you attract and you have succeeded in manifesting the worst of luck for yourself.
On contrary, if you are always praising and speaking with encouragement to others, looking for the best even in the worst situations, reframing any kind of hideous encounters to heaven instead of lamenting on hell, sharing words of wisdom and happiness, you are uplifting yourself naturally and vibrating with so much love, joy, understanding and consideration. Multiply by minutes, hours, days, months and even years and you have embodied the highest vibration within and around you. What you are you attract and you have succeeded in manifesting the best of luck for yourself.
On Thoughts
Watch your thoughts, because your thoughts are forming your words.
Be careful about your words, because your words are shaping your actions.
Be careful of what type of actions you are doing, because they are shaping your habits.
Be careful about what type of habits you have because they are shaping your character.
Be careful what type of character you are cultivating because it shapes your destiny where your luck lives.
