Interesting TCM Fact 101: There is No Fixed Recipe in TCM

The problem with people these days is that we love to take short cuts. Hence we always aim for the ideal state when we can find one single solution to all problems. Because of that, we simplify solutions down to one pill, one injection, one method, one protocol. Western medicine has done a great job in satisfying the laziness and idealistic mindset of mankind. But the price to pay is the side effects that come along that so called SINGLE go-to solution. It is interesting to see how people will gladly opt to suffer the side effects which can be hundred times harder to bear than the original problem. Ironic.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and other ancient medicines, it is pure hard work put in to resolve every single problem, down to the fraction of moment. Some attempt to standardized TCM, ignorantly spending their energy to squeeze TCM into the standards. And the result: TCM that is Westernized. In other words, that is not the real TCM.

When we talk about traditions, any form of duplication, standardization, attempt to leverage by our lazy business people only taint the practice.

There is no fixed recipe for TCM. Herbs, acupoints, meridians, doctors.

Because uniquely as it is, authentic as it is.
